Job Overview:

We seek a seasoned and strategic Vice President of Operations to lead and continuously improve three critical areas of our business: device management/call support, warehouse operations, and procurement. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, optimizing processes, and enhancing overall efficiency from an executive leadership perspective. Given the regulations surrounding our space, continuous assurance of standard operating procedures will be integral. This role will report directly to the COO and partner with alternative executive leadership, specifically compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Patient + Device Management/Call Support:
    • Oversee the management and deployment of medical devices, ensuring effective maintenance and support in compliance with FDA regulations.
    • Implement and refine call support processes to enhance patient outcomes and maximize resolutions, focusing on at-home care.
    • Collaborate with PMs and department heads to integrate innovative technologies and improve service delivery.
    • Develop, establish, and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of device management and call support operations.
  2. Warehouse Operations:
    • Lead the optimization of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, receiving, and returns, ensuring compliance with FDA standards.
    • Implement best practices in warehouse layout, storage solutions, and material handling to maximize efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
    • Utilize data analytics to identify areas for improvement and drive process enhancements.
  3. Procurement Services:
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, focusing on health tech and medical devices.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
    • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and value improvements.
    • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures and drive continuous improvement in the procurement process.
    • Distribute and maintain device rate tables and company device catalogs.
  4. Continuous Improvement:
    • Develop, implement, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with FDA regulations.
    • Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across all departments.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, with a focus on device technology management, warehouse operations, and/or procurement services.
  • Preferred experience in the health tech industry, specifically in medical device management and at-home care.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
